Editor’s notes: This post is going to make no sense, and definitely not scan well.
Earlier this week, I decided that I’d start redesigning my site. Not this site, but both Net Nothing and PhotoKolin. The Net Nothing Media site was definitely in need of attention, and still is for the most part. I’m working on it, I swear.
Net Nothing is my company, in the event I’ve never said that. Unfortunately, there’s been a little bit of confusion as to what it’s purpose was other than just being a way to prevent me from paying as much in the way of taxes, and then I’ve been doing business through Photography by Kolin. I’ve come to the conclusion that I should start doing business as Net Nothing, and then use PhotoKolin as a site/business that strictly caters to Wedding photography. Otherwise, it looks a little confusing in that it looks like I do work in completely different markets (weddings and automotive and commercial). Net Nothing will be more catered to commercial and a little less personable photography, as well as videos, and consulting.
So, I’m wanting to just freaking hustle, man. I want to be doing what I love non-stop. I work 40 hours a week, but I’d still like to do more creating.
On top of that, I’m about 6 beers deep into a case of beer that I bought for my sister’s wedding (side note: I still have my toast saved as a draft on here, and I dunno if anyone wants to read it) that I’ve finally cracked open, and am frankly tired of waiting to have house guests. On the tube (which isn’t a tube, in case you don’t know how science works) I’m catching up on episodes of the Night Attack Podcast.
If you’re unfamiliar with the show, you should probably check it out? I mean, it’s entertaining. I also feel as though, as a fun-based podcast about nothing, it’s organized and produced the best. It more or less makes me want to do a little more podcasting, which won’t happen for a long time until I can get a little more staffing under my belt. Which sounds odd, but I don’t really think that I should be doing another podcast until I can, definitely, spend a day to put together a show, and have it planned out a week in advance. I know people want me back on the podcast grind, and I want you to know that I hear you! I hear you when you’re not even making any sound. I, too, am at the Pizza Hut, and the Taco Bell!
I’m at the combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
On another note, I’m trying to become a home owner, and that is becoming to be quite the process, I’m finding. I’ve thought, on many occasions, that I should do a vlog based around our house/property hunt. Which I think I definitely will do very soon. Maybe Sunday? This Sunday? Monday? I don’t know, who am I? Nostradomus? I don’t even think that’s how you spell that!
Either way, there will be vlog (podcast?) of me talking about that, and how it’s going. I could spend another three hours talking about that.
Short version: OH MY GOD WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT
I have gotten my office in a neat and orderly-ish manner so that I can stream on Twitch again. If you’d like, head on over to http://twitch.tv/specialkolin and give me a follow! I’ll be streaming video games, but also life stuff and creative stuff. So, give it a follow, so I know that people give a crap. Which is nice to know.
I really enjoy streaming. I’ve been doing it for a long time, and now I’m going to have the opportunity of doing it professionally at work. Which should be pretty cool. Naturally, I can’t talk about what it’s for or anything like that, since it hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s going to be really cool to be involved with a broadcast bigger than just me.
It’s after midnight now, and I’m really starting to feel it. I’ve been awake for about 20 hours. Exhaustion combined with partial inebriation (okay, mostly[is that the right wording?]) and I just want to lay down on the couch, but I just know that in about an hour, the dogs are going to start barking because Sarah will finally be home from work. Then again, it would be nice, because then time would go forward faster.
How are you? What would you like to see me do? Should I buy a 500GB SSD for my gaming machine so I can have more than two games installed at a time? What if I started playing WoW again?
